Powters began in 1881 as a family-run butcher in Newmarket, Suffolk, by our great grandfather, William Harper. Having trained as a butcher, he developed the recipe for the famous awardwinning Newmarket sausage. Our butchers pride themselves on their craftsmanship and have learned many of their skills from the previous generation of butchers. We have remained true to our traditional values and have built a reputation for delivering excellent customer service and supplying exceptional meat.
